Production Dialect Coaching
As a voice/dialect coach, Blake has coached productions in NYC for Ensemble Studio Theatre, New Georges, The Araca Project, Fault Line Theatre & Walkerspace at SoHo Rep. Regional coaching credits include productions for Berkshire Theatre Group, Syracuse Stage, Geva Theatre Center, PlayMakers Repertory Company, Two River Theater, Cleveland Musical Theatre, Luna Stage, & Passages Theatre. Educational coaching credits include productions for Yale School of Drama, Yale Cabaret, Fordham University Theatre, Fordham/Primary Stages MFA Program, Columbia University School of the Arts, Syracuse University Department of Drama, Kean University Department of Theatre, and Stella Adler Conservatory. On film, Blake was the Canadian dialect consultant for The Terrible Trio. He has assisted John Patrick (Gulfshore Playhouse) and Beth McGuire (Yale Repertory Theater).
Teaching & Private Coaching
As a teacher, Blake has led masterclasses across the county in Acting, Auditioning, Musical Theater, Speech, Voice, Clown, Shakespeare, Text Analysis, and Theater Games. He currently serves on the faculty of Syracuse University's Department of Drama, and has served on the faculties of Manhattan School of Music, Circle in the Square Theatre School, Tom Todoroff Conservatory, HB Studio, Yale Summer Conservatory for Actors, Fairfield University, Kean University, and Theatre Arts Center NY Summer Conservatory. Blake works with private clients on cultivating both American and International dialects. Experienced with actors and non-actors alike, Blake has coached clients from six continents (no Antarctica, yet). He also works as a private audition coach.
